The 6th Multivision at 5-7 of December - 29.11.2008


The "winter" part of the 6th Multivision festival will take place at 5-7 of December in St.Petersburg. The films made at last 2 years wich was selected for 'summer part" of 6th Multivision: "Small movie for a big city" (see below) take part in the competion alongside with the animations received after 1 June

Multivision festival is taking part in the celebration of International Animation Day 2008 - 11.10.2008

Multivision festival for the 3rd time is taking part in the celebration of International Animation Day, IAD 28 October, the initiative of  ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association.

 The screenings will be held at the cinema center "Rodina" in St.Petersburg and at "35 mm" cinema hall in Moscow 25-26 october.

Special edition "Small movies for a big city" of the VI International festival of Animation Arts "Multivision", which was held on the drawn wings of 2 bridges: Dvortsovy and Troitsky in the center of Saint-Petersburg now became a history.

The Jury decided not to award “The best animated short WINDOW BRIDGE film” in a matter, there were no films that could be named a winner. So the prize of 1000 euro is going to the next year.

The Jury of the Festival: Dmitry Vysotsky, Andrey Sicorsky – animated film directors and artists, Dmitry Shagin – painter, Bella Matveeva – painter and member of the New Academy of fine arts, Valery Katsuba – photographer, Stanislav Dvorko – Chairman of the Community board on social advertising in North-West Federal District.

The animations were shown with the help of 3 video projectors Christie Roadster S+16K (48000 ANSI) at the screen 320 square meters on Dvortsovy bridge and with the help of 2 video projectors Christie Roadster S+20K (40000 ANSI) at the screen 360 square meters on Troitsky bridge. The construction of the giant bridge screens was worked out by Multivision festival with the kind help of Stroyproject Institute, the chief bridge construction developer in St.Petersburg. The event was supported by St.Petersburg government, and the entrance to the event was free for everybody. The audience of the event counted more than 20 000 people.

The International festival of Animation Arts "Multivision" and St.Petersburg City Government hereby warmly invite you to become a participant of a special competition "Small movies for a big city: The best animated short film about a city and its citizens". The competitive program will be screened at open-air festival which will take place during Saint-Petersburg City Day, the annual celebrations of Saint-Petersburg anniversary at May 31st.

For the first time in its 5 years history the International festival of Animation Arts “Multivision” was held in the center of Saint-Petersburg – right on the drawn wings of bridges during the night in 2007 (watch video and tv, download the catalog). The best works of competitive program were screened on the opened leafs of the bridge. It was a great happening for all who came that night to celebrate a birthday of the city.
In 2008 the unique project called “Small movies for a big city” will be held again on a greater level with covering two main bridges of Saint-Petersburg and all nearby territories.
Thus the biggest movie theatre on Neva River with its 2 halls will draw in all favorite walking citizens’ routes and transform them into fabulous world of dreams and fantasies.

Plasticine Crow at the International Animation Day - 21.10.2007
 

 Many artists of different genres will be present at the opening ceremony of the Plasticine Crow monument  as well as city government. Everybody  will wear costumes and play roles from cartoon films. It will be at 26 october 17.00, and next day, 27 october at 14.00 we shall have children's competition in plasticine sculpture, then screening of animayion by Alexander Tatarsky, then international screenings.

 At night we have a great animation party at Soho club. Famous musicians will sing songs from cartoon films, everybody will were masks and costumes.
The day 28 october will be dedicated to international screenings.

Multivision festival is taking part in the celebration of International Animation Day - 30.09.2007

   Multivision festival is taking part in the celebration of  International Animation Day, IAD 28 October, the initiative of  ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association.  One can read about the program-2007  here

The International festival of Animation Arts "Multivision" announces a competition "Small movie for a big city". - 28.03.2007

Filnm projection on Palace bridge The competitive program wilt be screened at open-air festival during Saint-Petersburg City Day. The City Day is the annual celebrations of Saint-Petersburg anniversary at the last weekend of May.
Numerous street displays at the day time and drawn wings of the Palace Bridge during the night will be used for screening the international program of the animated films about a big city and its citizens. The festival is planned to take place on the 26th of May.
The competition will be held in following nominations:
The best animated short film about a city - films about a city and its citizens, their relations, problems, joys and sorrows.
The best animated short film for a city - films harmonizing with city environment and suited for a city from estetic and ethivc point of view

The 3rd International Festival of Animation Arts "Multivision" will be taking place in St. Petersburg on April 28 2006 - 27.03.2006

The selection committee will choose new animated works for the contest program and award winners in following nominations: "The Best animated film for children", "The Best internet animation", "The Best experimental animated film". This year festival jury will select the best work in newly introduced nomination "The Best interactive animation". The critic's choice and viewer's choice awards will also be selected. Festival will also have non-contest program, which deals with any kind of animated arts: flash-art, video-art, games etc.

The Children program of the 2005 Multivision International Festival of Animation Arts took place with great success at 3rd of December 2005 in the cinema center "PIK" - 05.12.2005

   
   
The special children jury being very objective because of wide choice of the ages of the participants: Ilya Bougaev (11) Anya Spiridonova (11), Polina Popova (10), Katya Tarassova (5), Semen Masseev (4 года) chose the best animation and awarded prize to the winner:

The Children program of the 2005 Multivision International Festival of Animation Arts will take place in St Petersburg on 3rd of December 2005 in the cinema center "PIK" - 17.10.2005

Last year the children and the “adult” program was held at the same date, but now it is splited: we would like to pay special attention to our youngest spectators and present them their own party.

The special children jury will choose the best animation and award prize to the winner at the 3rd of December.

All the other prizes will be given by professional and press jury during the official Award ceremony at the traditional night “adult” program of the Multivision festival. The date will be announced later. Follow the news!

 
The 2005 Multivision International Festival of Animation Arts will take place in St Petersburg on 5 November 2005. - 01.06.2005

It will feature Artist-animators from Russia as well as other countries both near and far!

On 20 November 2004, at the Baltiskii Dom theatre in St. Petersburg, Multivision 2004, the 2nd International Festival of Animation Art, took place to huge public response. - 25.11.2004

On the second year of its existence, the festival had considerably expanded its program including an all night marathon screening and a day time children's programme. And, for the first time, a competition was held for the best animation films in various categories.
